                 RICHARD PERSO

Richard Perso doesn't seem to have enough arms, legs or lungs to pull off such a physically demanding performance but that doesn't stop him from playing 3 didgeridoos, driving a weapons cache of 4 overdriven acoustic guitars and somehow manging to replace the roll of a drummer with little more than his 2 feet.

TANK DILEMMA

Piano driven Australian funk/blues/jazz/pop, with a wink to country, often with horn section.  Tank Dilemma have delighted crowds for years.  The act features the songs of frontman/keyboardist Richard Tankard, who is joined by Ruben Shannon on bass, Brenton Smith on drums and the twin horn attack of Matt Trenery on trumpet and Matt Hewson.

The band deliver an infestious, groove based program of original material with a driving rhythm section, chunky keyboards and horns at the fore.

LJ HILL

For contemporary singer/songwriter L.J. Hill, music has always been a part of his life and his songs illustrate the rich experience of a full life lived from the northwest plains of New South Wales in Australia to the city streets of Sydney and Melbourne for the past thirty years.  L.J. Hill has crafted his unique vision and subtle melody lines into memorable songs which celebrate personal family values and tell stories of a world which most people don’t know exist. Family memory is important to L.J. Hill and his haunting  melodies are exemplified by his expert use of slide   guitar in many of his songs.

In 1988 much of Australia was celebrating two hundred years of white settlement but a young Archie Roach was expressing in song what many who weren't celebrating were feeling.
For many indigenous people there was anger, despair, disadvantage, land rights battles and deaths in custody. Archie Roach dealt with this by writing songs about his own experiences and feelings and then performing these songs to whomever would listen.
